Allow me to introduce my newly invented, evolving self. Now, I can go deep & on and on but this will be a mix between surface level and a little tea, if you will. I’m Ahmia, the Goddess O.G. , & additionally the O.G. Goddess, we are one in the same, co-existing and co-creating the magic of our true purpose, efficiently and in the timing of our divine source. I’m a 32 yr old Bama girl turned Florida girl, residing in tropical Miami and let me just say, Miami has been good to me. Here I’ve networked with so many like minded individuals of different ages from many different walks of life, met my soul mate “love at first sight”, and just a year ago I birthed my first child, NATURALLY in the comfort of my home! Yesss!! I am a mother & my role with my family amazes me on a daily basis and reminds me of my destiny and why I ever moved here in the first place. I placed myself in positive situations I would have never experienced in the comfort of where I’m from, old mentality, conditioning, etc. As I left Alabama, I vowed to break negative generational damage and end cycles of lack and scarcity, not only physically but mentally as well. That vow is what birthed Goddess O.G. Originally, Goddess O.G. signifies “Goddess On the Go” and honestly I’ve been living true to my name, on the go, for the past 6 years in search of my true self , my true desires, and my divine purpose. “On the Go Goddess” signifies a woman light, in search for inner peace so that her peace within reflects in her outer world. It represents freedom, mobility, not being bound by anything or anyone, flowing with the winds of nature, solely trusting in the divine reciprocation of the universe. The more I searched within, my universe, the more my light shined, the more attention I attracted, the more inquiries I received from like minds on the what, why, and the how? From then on I used social media to answer those questions and share my journey, whether it was a fitness routine, yoga session, a vegan recipe, herbal hair and skin care remedies or simply just being in nature, one with myself. Every tool I used for spiritual devotion birthed in me a vessel of information for others seeking the same freedom. The more feedback I received from my peers, the more downloads I received during meditation for further guidance. I spent most of my days documenting my daily rituals, creating vlogs, filling up journals of info from books I’ve read, affirmations which all turned into a blog. Still today I learn and live through the teachings and journals that birthed me into the being I am today and with this blog I vow to share it all with you. Additionally & gratefully, I began to receive requests for skin and haircare products I experimented with for personal use, raving about the results on my social accounts which blossomed into a full skin care collection of body butter and scrubs, hair serums, soap bars, etc. In 2020, Goddess O.G. Inc became my hub of everything that is me, everything I represent and create, all that I have to offer those of whom resonate. Goddess O.G. inc. is a non profit service organization where we equip you with tools of nourishment for your mind, body, and spirit. I handcraft and formulate all natural, herbal infusions, remedies, and decoctions promoting the healing of many ailments pertaining to mental health, physical health, both internal and external, and spiritual health, promoting optimal balance and self devotion. For as long as I can remember, I watched my mom in awe behind the chair my entire life with a hunger to learn and motivation to excel in this industry. I loved everything about doing hair and my most of all favorite is the transformations. I remember literally telling my mother, “I’m gonna do some hair” and here I am currently a 14 year master cosmetologist. Years later it still brings me joy to see the smiles on my clients’ faces once they see their finished result. For 2, so that I have a reference when I want to refer back to my meditations, need a pick me up, reassurance and what not, and 3 it helps me dive deeper into what I just meditated on, what downloads intuitively came to me during my travel, and what information I may have brought back with me. If I didn’t log my travels I wouldn’t even be able to write this blog to share this information with you, so very glad I did. Okay, moving on.. After meditation and journaling I pull one tarot card for the day, it helps me to tie today’s message all together and gather and compare information from many different aspects for greater clarity. Just like the universe, the card I pulled on this particular day was The High Priestess and the affirmations I journaled after meditation screamed THROAT CHAKRA! Now, let me break it down and show you how it all came full circle, keep reading my friend.. first, what is a chakra? Our bodies are much more than a spiritual and mental structure, it is a powerful energy source. The actual word chakra itself is a sanskrit term meaning spinning of the wheel(will) or vortex. We have a total of 7 main chakras aligning the base of our spine from the top of our heads to the soles of our feet. The placement of these chakras are pretty self explanatory, given the names of each. Starting from the top of your head we have Crown chakra, Third eye chakra, Throat chakra – which is our main topic of today- Heart chakra, Solar Plexus chakra, Sacral chakra, and Root chakra like the image below Throat Chakra Your throat chakra governs your communication, speaking our truths, speaking up for ourselves and self expression. There are many ways to notice if your throat chakra is blocked or imbalanced, if your chakra is too open, ways to balance your throat chakra, and tools and practices you can implement in helping you do so. How do i know if my throat chakra is balanced? When your throat chakra is balanced you have healthy self confidence, you’re able to express your truth with ease using a strong, confident speech, you have great listening skills, communicating thoughtfully and clearly, your thyroid and gland functions are healthy, you’re authentic, non judgemental with a strong creative expression, open minded and adaptable to change and very decisive as you speak mindfully without fear. Your energy is flowing and that wheel(will) is spinning- which is our goal! what are signs of an imbalanced or blocked chakra? A few signs to tell when your throat chakra is blocked and out of balance are when you have trouble expressing yourself, difficulty listening to others while interrupting others often, expressing controlling and passive aggressive behaviors, unable to clearly voice your opinions, indecisiveness, frequently lying, and when you’re experiencing sore throat or gland issues. Also low thyroid functioning. can my throat chakra be too open you ask? Absolutely! This is another form of imbalance. You know your throat chakra is TOO open when you’re unable to read body language, gossiping frequently and or talking TOO much, unaware of others feelings, and you’re expressing poor communication skills. In other words your judgment is completely off whether you’re intuitively missing signs and symbols from the universe, people, places, and things or you’re over judging others, placing yourself above them . Which is not ALL bad but definitely not ALL good either. Check yourself! check yourself! lets get back to balance Here are a few healing tools to implement promoting throat chakra balance. Now if you haven’t realized already, the throat chakra radiates an energy of blue- notice you see nothing but blue graphics in this blog. Yep, I did that on purpose. Did you notice?So for color therapy eat blue foods, wear blue clothes, meditate with a blue cloth over yourself, and visualize blue soothing energy during your meditation. Crystals to work with are turquoise, blue agate, lapis lazuli, sodalite, and aquamarine. For aromatherapy, anoint yourself with rosemary, lime, cedarwood, or sage oils, or add them to a diffuser, whatever is your favorite form of aromatherapy. For sound therapy listen to the chirping of birds or the sound of crickets, chant HAM(hummmmm) during meditation. Meditate outside, watch clouds passing, write a letter, journal, and most importantly of all SING! now how does tarot tie in with this? how girl, how?? The world of tarot is a form of an oracle with all the answers. The High Priestess card represents Intuition! Using your intuition to open yourself up to receive the messages of the universe, meditation-tapping into your subconscious which represents a store of wisdom. She speaks of looking within to find the answer, Now the reverse meaning of this card is dishonesty, suppression of truth, or untapped potential for intuition, sounds familiar right? Riiigghttt! She is the number 2 card which represents balance and integration, duality, cooperation, peace or opposition, choices and decisions. The High Priestess is associated with the element of water (blue) which is passive (receiving) and embodies the realm of emotion, connection, relationships, community, family, gratitude, grief, sympathy, regret, disappointment, and love- in all these we need what? COMMUNICATION! & guess what, blue is the color associated with this card, go figure! Just like the throat chakra Affirm your throat chakra back into balance This list of affirmations( hekau – words of power) intuitively came to me after meditation. Write them down, speak them aloud, and revisit them as needed. I speak respectfully. I speak confidently. I communicate intuitively. I speak healing words. I communicate words of power. I speak kindly. I utter words of abundance and freedom. I speak words of happiness. I think positively so that I speak positively. I speak divine knowledge. I communicate peacefully. I speak life into dead, stagnant things and people. I speak positive words of affirmation. I speak in the language of love. My throat is clear and in a balanced state. My voice is strong and impacting. I speak prosperity over my life. My words are true and fulfilling. My speech is free of curses, negativity, doubt worry, and anger. I use my voice and my words to heal. I use my voice to sing praises. I use my voice to express my gratitude. My throat, my words, my speech is free from any blockages. I am confident in my abilities to stay committed and devoted, for daily spiritual practice. The more I work, the more I want to work, the more it becomes routine and automatic, the more repetitive the more it’s necessary- a main necessity in my daily life. The more I stick to it, the more I grow within my spirit, evolving. The more I learn, the wiser I grow, the more I know my true self, my true being, my essence. My path is shown to me through the light which lies in the darkness I surrender to on a daily basis. In this darkness, I submit, I let go, to hear, to listen, receive messages, signs, signals, divine love, divine insight. I tap into my very BEING who’s always at peace, lying dormant, unbothered. During meditation WE are as ONE, in life we are as one. My daily devotion helps me to maneuver in this physical world, it gives me guidance, warnings, direction, peace, balance, and harmony. I love resting in such a peaceful space, dwelling in stillness, silence, pure essence. Im truly devoted to my daily, infinite, spiritual journey. I allow my spirit to control and guide me, rather than my mind- which likes to negotiate and talk me out of things at times. When it arises, I command my spirit to take a stand and overrule what my rational mind is telling me. In comparison- My mind is weak and my spirit is mighty and strong. I am guided by my true divine essence to stay the course, work diligently, efficiently, and steadily to reach great heights of spiritual development and evolution. Ase!
